The cyclone has the characteristics of small volume, easy maintenance, high classification efficiency, etc., but its classification efficiency is greatly affected by the ore pressure, the ore concentration, and the ore flow rate. The cyclone automatic control system applies the ore pressure to the cyclone. The concentration of the ore, the flow rate of the ore and the liquid level of the pumping pool are detected. The pump is supplemented with water and the frequency conversion speed is applied to the mine pump to realize the optimal control of the cyclone feed concentration, the ore pressure and the pump pool liquid level.

The control of the cyclone is a complex control process, mainly reflected in three aspects:

1 Any change in the pumping tank level, the ore concentration, and the ore pressure will cause the original control balance of the cyclone to be destroyed;

2 Both the ore concentration and the ore pressure affect the cyclone overflow particle size index. When the overflow particle size index changes, no matter whether the ore concentration is adjusted or the ore pressure is adjusted (often simultaneously adjusted), the adjustment range cannot be precisely defined. ;

3 Due to the time-varying and uncertainty of the grinding production process, it also leads to the time-varying and uncertainty of the various process parameters of the cyclone.

The control method of the cyclone is:

The detected cyclone overflow particle size, feed concentration, feed pressure and slurry pool level signal are used as input to the cyclone control. After a reasonable control algorithm, a suitable cyclone operation is given. The control scheme completes the automatic optimization control of the cyclone, neither pumping out nor running, ensuring the overflow granularity of the cyclone, improving the classification efficiency of the cyclone, and making the whole system run stably and efficiently.
