Determination of biomass of tea culm bamboo forest by leaf area measuring instrument

The leaves are the sites for photosynthesis. The number of leaves on each shoot increased with the age of the bamboo. The analysis of the leaf area meter showed that the number of leaves on each shoot was the highest at the age. Then, the bamboo age increased and the leaf amount decreased. Of course, there is a close relationship between the number of leaves and the DBH and the number of branches.

Adjusting the population structure of tea culm bamboo forest and improving the growth conditions of tea culm bamboo forest are two important aspects of increasing the yield. Because leaf area index is positively correlated with standing bamboo density and DBH, the density of standing bamboo is negatively correlated with DBH within a certain range. Therefore, in order to maintain an appropriate leaf area index in production and management, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the mutual coordination between the three to improve forest productivity.
