·China's many tire industry environmental standards will be introduced one after another

In March of this year, China's rubber industry association issued China's first green tire self-discipline standard "Green Tire Technical Specifications" began trials. The specification proposes clean production technical indicators, water pollutants and atmospheric pollutant emission limits, and recommends 18 green tire production processes.

Zhu Hong, director of the Technical and Economic Committee of China Rubber Industry Association, recently pointed out that the formulation of the "Regulations" laid the technical foundation for the upcoming formulation of China's tire classification and labeling method.

Zhu Hong revealed that the formulation of a number of environmental standards for the tire industry is underway.

The preparation and reporting of the "Tire Industry Cleaner Production Evaluation Index System" will be completed in October this year. After the release of the National Development and Reform Commission, it will be implemented throughout the industry; the "Green Tire Technical Specification" during the trial period will be collected and consolidated in November. And put forward suggestions and suggestions to continue to improve the "Green Tire Technical Specifications"; the preparation of green raw materials guidelines completed in December, while releasing environmentally friendly raw materials guidelines; green tire labeling system related product technical indicators, grading standards, test methods and related procedures The preparation of documents, laboratory certification for indoor and outdoor labor, etc. will be completed by the end of 2015.

It is understood that in addition to the tire industry, other sub-sectors in the rubber industry have also been included in the compilation of the self-regulatory standards of the "Environmental Recycled Rubber" Association.

Cao Qingxin, secretary general of the China Rubber Industry Association Waste Rubber Comprehensive Utilization Branch, told the reporter that in early August, the association organized more than 10 reclaimed rubber production enterprises to provide reclaimed rubber samples to the petroleum and chemical industry rubber and recycling product quality supervision and inspection centers. Carry out testing to obtain the gap between the current environmentally-friendly reclaimed rubber and the EU REACH regulations for the determination of heavy metal and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) content limits, and then refer to the “Recycling Rubber Industry Clean Production Level Evaluation” to solicit industry opinions.

In October, the association will complete the formulation of the “Environmental Recycling Rubber Association Self-discipline Standard” in line with China's national conditions. It will be reviewed by the Technical and Economic Committee of the China Rubber Industry Association and reported to the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Rubber Standards Committee for the record.

At the end of 2014, the “Environmental Recycling Rubber Association Self-discipline Standard” will be released to the public by the China Rubber Industry Association.
