Techcross Receives ECS Order for 2 Tankers
Recently, the company of ballast water treatment system Techcross announced that it has received the ECS (Electro-CleenTM System) contract for the 158,000 dwt Suez-type oil tanker built by Turkish shipowners for its two modern Sanhu Heavy Industries.
Under the agreement, Techcross expects to deliver two Ex-ECS 2000B systems and one ECS 300BECS 300B system by the end of February 2017. These ships used a 158,000 dwt tanker type that the Greek shipowner ordered in Hyundai Sanhu Heavy Industries in 2015. Techcross sales staff said that the installation of the ballast water treatment system by the two 158,000 dwt tankers last year played a decisive role in this decision.
It is reported that the Techcross ballast water treatment system ECS is based on ballast water electrolysis technology and does not require a filtration system, so installation and maintenance are very convenient. Although the shipping industry is still in the doldrums, Techcross has won a number of ship matching contracts this year. In April of this year, Techcross was awarded a contract for two 300,000 DWT VLCCs by Hong Kong shipowners. In addition, in June this year, the company also signed a contract with Hyundai Ouura Shipyard for four pure car carriers and two 50,000 DWT tankers. In the case of the 50,000 dwt tanker, Techcross applied its own installation solution "Engine Room Solution" and obtained patent certification at the end of August, saving installation costs and time.
As of September 2016, Techcross has signed more than 1,000 orders worldwide and completed 820 delivery and installation projects.
