EXCELLENCE-20W wire cutting machine is produced by Japan's Sodick Company. Its wire moving system allows the electrode wire to move at a certain speed and maintain a certain tension. In order to provide a certain tension (2-25N), an electromagnetic force type tension mechanism is installed in the wire taking path and the wire electrode is tensioned by the tension motor and the tension adjusting shaft. The wire removal system is also equipped with broken wire detection micro switch, so that the device can automatically stop and alarm when the wire breaks. Although the current high-end wire cutting machine has automatic threading function, due to the longer threading path of the high-grade wire cutting machine, it is difficult to wear the ribbon. Especially for workpieces with large thickness or small threading holes, the automatic threading function is often difficult to achieve, so it is necessary to restore the processing function of the device by means of manual threading.

Because wire breakage often occurs during wire cutting, mastering certain manual threading techniques can increase productivity. The specific approach is as follows:

(1) Wire wrapping of the electrode wire. As shown in the figure below, one end of the electrode wire is wound in a clockwise direction around the pulley 7, and then the tension control wheel 3 is wound in the counterclockwise direction. After exiting the pulley 7, it passes through the wire breakage monitor and the guide 5, Pay special attention to the fact that through the broken wire monitor must be installed correctly, otherwise the machine will alarm and prompt: "Wirebroken, presstheRSTkey, presstheOFFkeytostop". After the electrode wire is passed from the drum to the pulley, the tension should be adjusted to the minimum, which is favorable for the wire to pass around the tension control wheel. When the electrode wire passes through the tension control wheel and the pressure wheel, the tension control wheel can be appropriately rotated to facilitate the passage of the wire electrode; after the wire electrode passes to the brush position, the head of the wire electrode should be cut off.

(2) When cutting the electrode wire head can not be cut flat, should have a certain angle with the electrode wire, it is best to maintain an acute angle of 30 °, so that the head of the wire becomes more tapered, is conducive to the adoption of fine guide Wire mold hole. When drawing, do not pull the wire out of the wire guide for too long because of the convenience of holding the wire, and then slowly send it down through the wire guide. Because the drawn silk is too long, it tends to bend or clump together, making it difficult to pass through the lower nozzle. In order to avoid this phenomenon, it is possible to adopt the method of threading while drawing on the side, that is, slowly rotating the pulley with the left hand first, and then feeding the wire with the right hand pull wire until the wire electrode can run automatically. In the wire feeding process, when the right hand pulling wire feels tight, the left hand rotating pulley can turn faster; when the right hand pulling wire feels very relaxed, the left hand rotating pulley should turn slower to avoid the wire slipping out of the pulley. You can practice several times in peacetime to make the left and right hands more coordinated. In this way, the phenomenon of bending the wire is seldom seen in the threading process, and in threading, keeping the thread from bending is the key to successful threading.

(3) For workpieces with small threading holes, it is more important to pay attention to threading techniques. When threading, the thread can not touch the workpiece when passing through the threading hole. Otherwise, the equipment alarms “MachininghasstoppedduetoashortcircuitPresstheRSTkey.Presstheoffkeytostop”. At this point, the stress must be in the center of the threading hole. Since the threading hole is very small, if it is difficult for the naked eye to adjust the thread to the center of the threading hole, the Z-axis can be lowered and the guidewire tube can be pulled down at the same time using the manual AWTW (or T86 code). Can produce a very tiny water column, and then use fine-tuning precision control of the small water column so that it hits the center of the threading hole. After adjusting the center, after the thread is worn, there will be no alarm because the wire touches the workpiece.

(4) In the course of processing, if broken wire occurs, the phenomenon that the wire is clamped by the clamping wheel is often encountered. To loosen the pinch wheel, press the AWT II button (or use the T91 code) and press the OFF button. At this time the screen appears "Offstop, Press the Ack", and then press the ACK button, the phenomenon that the wire is clamped can often be solved, and then the wire can be threaded according to the aforementioned steps.

(5) In any case, when using manual threading, care must be taken: First, the speed of the guide wire must not be too fast when the guide wire is pulled down. Otherwise, the pin of the lower guide wire nozzle may not come out of contact with the guide wire tube. Affect the precision of equipment processing; Second, after the manual threading is completed, the wire tube should be pulled up. Otherwise, when the processing starts, the equipment will display the alarm “PhysicalerrorofAWT, PresstheRSTkey, Presstheoffkeytostop.”
