·Special action against the smuggling promotion of refined oil products

At the beginning of this year, in response to the severe situation of refined oil smuggling, the General Administration of Customs, the China National Marine Police, and the National Smuggling Office decided to jointly launch a special campaign against smuggling of refined oil products from March to December 2015. Yesterday afternoon, the provincial government held a special campaign to promote the “Spring Thunder” campaign against refined oil smuggling in Guangzhou, implemented the spirit of leadership of the central and provincial leaders, further studied the deployment tasks, and promoted the “Spring Thunder” action. Vice Governor Li Chunsheng attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Deputy Director Xu Wenrong of the Anti-smuggling Bureau of the General Administration of Customs attended the meeting.
Since the launch of the operation, the provincial customs have investigated and handled six criminal cases involving suspected smuggling of refined oil products, involving smuggling of refined oil products of 30,900 tons, a case value of 210 million yuan, and a tax evasion of 60.49 million yuan; the sea police department seized 25 suspected smuggled oil products vessels. About 3,860 tons of refined oil were involved in the case; the fishery administration seized 2 suspected smuggling of refined oil fishing vessels, involving 140.92 tons of refined oil.
