Renault Heavy Truck Launches New Kerax XTREM Construction Truck Chassis for Mine Trucks

Recently, Renault Trucks, a subsidiary of Volvo, has introduced a modified Kerax mining car chassis that it hopes will be appreciated by users in the mining industry.

The construction vehicle market is the second main battlefield in addition to the tractors for the current mainstream truck manufacturers in the world. Volvo has launched the FMX series and Scania has launched its P and G series truck chassis. The status quo of the construction vehicle chassis market is hot.

Renault heavy trucks will be called Kerax XTREM, which will be sold worldwide. Kerax XTREM was redeveloped for the harsh environment of mining operations. In the engine configuration, there are two kinds of engines to choose from. One is the DXi engine that emits Euro 5 emissions, with a power output of 439 to 520 hp. There is also an Euro 3 emission engine for developing countries with poor oil quality, with power ranging from 380 to 500 hp.

The chassis of the Renault Kerax XTREM is reinforced compared to the regular version of the Kerax model and carries heavy weights via four parabolic leaf springs and a reinforced drive axle capable of withstanding 36 tons. At the same time, the double-disc clutch and gearbox cooling system can guarantee the vehicle's operation under severe conditions.
