As the main power of the Auman EST Super Truck, Cummins X12 engine technology not only comes with advanced heavy truck power genes, but also integrates the latest smart advantages of Cummins products. The X12 engine, a new member of the X-Series family, was officially released in 2016 in Hanover, Germany. On March 26th this year, X12 engine technology landed on the Chinese market in Beijing and was the first to be used on the Auman EST and EST-A high-end models to meet the national five and six emission standards, and its excellent smart technology, high efficiency fuel saving advantages, and The adaptability to different market demands is in line with the increasing demand of customers for power upgrades and transportation efficiency.

Advanced smart technology:

Cummins X12 focuses on the intelligent upgrade of human-computer interaction, applying forward-looking ADEPT intelligent assisted driving technology, Connected Diagnostics remote service technology, and PowerSpec intelligent vehicle management technology. In combination with the AMT drive system and the networking of big data vehicles, real-time engine management can be realized, and dynamic and intelligent power output adjustment can be performed at the same time. The fuel economy of up to 4% can be improved, and the reliability and safety of the engine can be greatly improved to facilitate the fleet. Operations management brings significant added value to the group's customers.

Significant efficiency gains:

In the 10-15 litre engine range, the X series has the highest power. The X12 has a wide horsepower range [350-500hp (260-375kW)], which provides a powerful low-speed torque output with 2,300 Nm of torque output at 1000 rpm.

MFS's new all-in-one machine plus high-efficiency turbocharger adopts fully-machined high-efficiency impeller to greatly improve the low-cycle fatigue life and improve reliability;

The integrated design of compression braking and engine integration provides high control accuracy, further increases the braking efficiency in the engine cylinder, and further strengthens the safety. The future braking force can be further increased to 400 hp.

Intelligent upgrade technology, such as ADEPT's advanced electronic control function and AMT organic integration, can help the X12 achieve significant improvements in fuel efficiency;

The Leakless pressure-keeping technology of Cummins XPI fuel system can improve start-up performance, achieve more precise oil control, and improve fuel efficiency.

The improvement of friction pair can reduce friction and improve fuel economy;

When entering the national six/euro six stage, the X12 will be equipped with a more compact national/euro6 post-processing system, which saves installation space and improves work efficiency, reduces crystallinity, and makes urea use more efficient. The post-processing dimension is more compact, reduces the package of the pipeline, reduces the energy consumption of thermal management, and the fuel consumption can be further reduced by 1%.

Multiple quality assurance:

X12 engine technology further extends the B10 life of the engine;

In China, heavy-duty trucks are the first to use ISOPOD turbocharging technology, which can adapt to more severe working conditions and further enhance reliability;

The integrated dust-proof design effectively prevents dust from entering the sealing surface. Through the optimization of the entire system of the crankshaft + suspension + power, the adaptability and durability of the power system are improved, especially the adaptability of the adverse conditions, and the NVH is improved and the comfort is improved;

Cummins fuel system technology in the X platform to enhance the ability to adapt to different oil products and working conditions to help users save maintenance costs;

Strong adaptability: In addition to more than 120,000 hours of bench tests, the X12 new model has been tested in millions of kilometers for different application conditions in the United States, Australia, Germany, Mexico, Russia, and China.

It is reported that the Auman EST and EST-A super trucks equipped with the Cummins X12 engine have already begun sales before the official launch of the country, and the X12 engine will also appear more in the Chinese heavy truck market in the future.
