China's plastic packaging machinery urgently needs to break foreign monopoly

Global industry data analysis and research institute GIA estimates that the global plastic packaging market will reach US$26.26 billion by 2015. At present, China is the world's largest plastics production base, but in the plastic packaging machinery industry upstream of the plastic packaging industry, especially the high-end PET bottles and beverage companies' packaging production lines, they are basically monopolized by imported equipment. According to statistics of the General Administration of Customs, in 2011, China imported 13,718 sets of plastic processing equipment and exported 51,647 sets. The import and export volume was 2.18 billion U.S. dollars and 1.47 billion U.S. dollars, respectively. The accumulated deficit was about 720 million U.S. dollars. A few days ago, the International Plastics Blowing Machine Association Association released a report that the US plastic blow molding machine manufacturers have maintained a global leading position in mechanical sales for 10 consecutive years. According to public information, the United States plastic blowing machine currently accounts for 24% of the global market share, followed by Japan and Germany.
