Luo Huanta, Dean of the China Industrial Engineering Research Institute, analyzed the reasons for the growth of power battery production: The rapid growth in the output of new energy vehicles in China in 2016 and the need for retrofitting and repackaging battery data for some completed vehicles showed that the domestic new production capacity for battery power was 42GWh in 2016. It is 2.8 times that of 2015. Judging from the technical route, the proportion of three yuan power batteries in 2016 has increased significantly, from 23% in 2015 to 28% in 2016.
