Modification and Utilization of M1040 Grinding Machine Waste Wheel

M1040 centerless grinding machine is the main equipment used for grinding roller in our factory. The grinding wheel used in this grinding machine is P350Ã—thickness (according to product model)Ã—127mm. When the grinding wheel wears to outside diameter D<260mm, it cannot be continued. Used and scrapped.

The size of the guide wheel used in the M1040 centerless grinder is P250Ã—thicknessÃ—75mm. Comparing it with the size of the scrap wheel, we found that as long as the inner diameter of the scrap wheel can be solved, the wheel can be used instead of the guide wheel. For this purpose, we designed a simple centering clamping device (see figure) so that the inner diameter of the bushing is equal to the inner diameter of the guide wheel, which can be used by bolting and clamping as shown in the figure. By using the M1040 and M8701 roller grinders to try the wheel that was modified with scrap wheel, the quality of the machined roller is reliable and the surface roughness reaches 0.16Î¼m, which fully meets the processing requirements. At present, our factory has fully used this modified guide wheel in production, and no longer purchases and uses new guide wheels. It is estimated that only the use of this scrapped wheel can save the cost of auxiliary materials by RMB 57,600 per year (see the table below).
