Recently, Dongfeng Yueda Kia Motors Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall, and decided to recall from January 26, 2017 to 2014 from July 31, 2017. A total of 28 K5 cars equipped with a 2.0L THETA T-GDI engine imported from South Korea during the period of March 12th.
In the vehicle within the scope of this recall, due to poor burr removal of the crankshaft cross oil hole processing, the generated metal debris hinders the flow of oil to the main bearing, resulting in insufficient lubrication of the bearing and accelerated aging of the bearing, which may cause periodic knocking inside the engine. Cylinder sounds, engine fault lights, and oil alarm lights will illuminate. After a long period of use, the axle may be generated, the vehicle loses power, and there is a safety hazard. Dongfeng Yueda Kia Motors Co., Ltd. will inspect the engine of the vehicle within the scope of the recall and replace the long cylinder of the engine if necessary to eliminate potential safety hazards.
