It is worth mentioning that this type of structure is unique in the world and has become a new breed with unique Chinese characteristics.

The first generation of domestic 550 kV isolation switch broke through the monopoly of foreign technology. For a long time, the production of high-voltage switchgear in China can only rely on imports, and the development of the first-generation domestic 550 kV isolation switch broke the monopoly of foreign technology and achieved new technological breakthroughs.

The data shows that in the first 500 kV transmission line built in China--Jinliao test line, Shengao successfully developed GW6-550 scissor disconnector and JW2-550 earthing switch, and Xikai successfully developed GW7-550. Although the number of these products is very small, only 20 sets, but it is of great significance, creating a precedent for independent design of 550 kV isolation switchgear.

The longest time has been 20 years. The 800 kV UHV isolating switch has been operating safely for nearly two years, and the overall situation is good.
In the next few years, the vigorous development of power grid construction has opened up a broad market for the high-voltage switch industry and provided reasons for optimistic development. At the same time, the construction of ultra-high voltage direct current transmission project will drive and promote the research of UHV DC transmission technology, opening up a new technical field and a new market.
