It is reported that Beiqi Yinxiang is a joint venture between BAIC Group and Yinxiang Group, with an initial investment of 2.6 billion yuan and a designed capacity of 300,000 vehicles/year. The production base is located in Tuchang Town, Hechuan District. At present, the first-phase project with a designed production capacity of 150,000 vehicles/year has completed plant construction and equipment installation work and is expected to be officially put into operation at the end of this month. The auto production qualification of Beiqi Yinxiang comes from Beijing Star Railways, a subsidiary of BAIC. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology confirmed the successor relationship of this production qualification in the announcement of vehicle manufacturers and products released on September 20, and disclosed the models of two Beiqi Yinxiang mini vehicle products that were listed during the year. It is understood that Beiqi Yinxiang's production qualification covers SUVs (multi-function vehicles), MPVs (sports utility vehicles), micro-offers, commercial vehicles of 7.5 tons or less, light passenger cars, pickups, modified cars, and automobile engines. It is stated during the day that the Swedish Saab patented technology platform acquired by BAIC Group and the refined production processes that have been accumulated with the cooperation of South Korea Hyundai for many years will provide strong support for Beiqi Yinxiang’s later relocation.
