At the request of the environmental protection department, the factory also made a commitment to the residents in the program. However, the situation has not improved for a few weeks.

The day before yesterday, the reporter once again received a report from the residents. The cast and forge factory still issued an unpleasant odor during its production. The reporter immediately rushed to the scene after receiving the report. The residents who lived nearby told us that although the furnace production had ended for more than an hour, However, the odor still did not disappear.

Resident Zhang said that they have repeatedly reported to the environmental protection department, but the reply from the environmental protection department made everyone very helpless. “The environmental protection department we fought and it was no use. They said that they only have the right to punish up to 10,000 yuan. They can't stop people from stopping production,” Mr. Zhang said.

Subsequently, the reporter made a report to the 12369 environmental protection hotline and they said they would accept the matter.

The reporter learned from the environmental protection department that in September 2011 and June this year, they all issued notices to the machinery factory that they were ordered to make corrections within a time limit. However, the situation of smoke extraction has not been improved.
