Phenomenon: The price increase for batteries and electric vehicles has been the sales season for electric vehicles in July. A distributor of a brand of electric vehicles in Suzhou said that the current price increase is mainly caused by small brand distributors and large brand agents. Their pressure resistance is weak. Not only that, he believes that with the progress of remediation, the depreciation of environmental protection equipment invested by enterprises and the cost of operation and maintenance are not small, and these will be shared among battery prices.

"Why foreign lead-acid batteries are two or three times more expensive than domestic ones? The main reason is this." Yao Lingchun said, "In the future, the price of lead-acid batteries will surely increase. This is very natural."

It is worth noting that starting from July 1, two of the world's three major lithium carbonate producers announced significant price increases for lithium carbonate. In the industry's view, the rise in the price of lithium batteries also has a certain demonstration effect on lead-acid batteries.

In Yao Lingchun's view, the lead-acid battery industry will not end soon, but a long-term process. "Only through a rectification, it will not be possible to solve the pollution problems that exist in the entire industry."

However, for some outstanding large companies, the original suspension of production was mainly due to rectification across the board, and as each of the indicators reached the standard, they will also take the lead in returning to work and share the “dividend” of battery price increases.

"At present, there are more than a dozen companies in Zhejiang have resumed work," said Yao Lingchun.

On the contrary, for some small businesses, the only way out after this national reorganization is to shut down, stop, move, and transfer.
