China successfully developed 1000kV AC tank voltage transformer

GKzhan Abstract: Electromagnetic voltage transformers for UHV AC gas-insulated fully-sealed electrical combination (GIS) developed by Nisshin (Wuxi) Electromechanical Co., Ltd. passed all type tests in Wuhan. Two weeks earlier, the 1000kV capacitive voltage transformer developed by the State Grid Research Institute of Electrical Power passed a type test. Both products have been developed for the first time in the world and represent the highest level of international high voltage voltage transformer technology.

1000kV Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC pilot demonstration project uses open-type voltage transformers. To further compress the area occupied by UHV AC GIS substations and achieve compact design, the State Grid Corporation of China launched the development work of a voltage transformer for UHV AC GIS (referred to as tank voltage transformer) in 2009 to meet the requirements of 1000kV Huainan - The urgent need for follow-up UHV exchange projects such as Shanghai.

Under the comprehensive promotion and unified organization of the State Grid Corporation of China, the State Grid Research Institute of Electrical Engineering and Nisshin (Wuxi) Electromechanical Company have independently initiated the development of capacitive and electromagnetic voltage transformers and achieved major breakthroughs. . The State Grid Corporation of China adheres to the principle of safety and reliability first, and conducts rigorous testing and evaluation on the products. The results show that the developed product has stable performance, excellent indicators and a world record.
