According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China on September 13, China’s tire production in August 2011 increased by 12% from the same period last year to 72.19 million. August tire production fell 0.9% from July output. Statistics released by the Bureau of Statistics also showed that from January to August, China's tire production was 532.5 million, an increase of 6.4% year-on-year. In August, China produced 302,000 tons of synthetic rubber, a year-on-year increase of 20%. From January to August, China's cumulative production of 2.34 million tons of synthetic rubber, an increase of 16%.
