Bridgestone to invest in automobile tire factory in Vietnam
According to the “Vietnamese Investment News†reported on December 12, 2011, the general manager of the Bridgestone Group advised the leaders of Hai Phong City in Vietnam when they were concerned about and helped the group to complete the relevant investment procedures as soon as possible so that the investment project could begin as early as possible. Bridgestone’s first-stage investment plan is 500 million U.S. dollars, and it produces 24,700 automobile tires daily. It is expected that construction will begin in June 2012 and be completed and put into production in 2014.
